Chris ‘Wevans’ Wade-Evans
Chris “Wevans” Wade-Evans is a SHOWCO alum who served as Client Sound Engineer / Monitor Engineer from 1986–1995, trusted in the moments that matter—when the artist needs it right, right now. His years with SHOWCO put him in the middle of some of the biggest tours of the era, including Yoko Ono, George Michael (Faith Tour; Cover to Cover Tour), Mick Jagger (Australia Tour), and multiple Rolling Stones runs: Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle, Voodoo Lounge, plus work connected to Keith Richards and Prince.
And like so many SHOWCO stories, it’s also about the people: Chris came up alongside an unforgettable crew—Funk, Benji, ML, Magruder, Chicken, Mike Allison, Cowboy, Jimmy Putnam, and more—doing the kind of behind-the-scenes work that makes the show feel effortless. If you’ve got a Chris “Wevans” story, a photo, a tour laminate, or a memory from the road, please reach out—I’d love to add it here so his piece of the SHOWCO history stays on the record.
This space is dedicated to preserving the memories and career of Showco alumnus Chris ‘Wevans’ Wade-Evans.
If you worked alongside Chris, toured together, recognize yourself or someone else in a photo, or have a story, correction, or additional information to share, I'd love to hear from you.
Every memory shared here helps make the Showco Archives more complete and helps preserve The Family Behind the Music for future generations.
