B.J. Schiller — Showco & Syncrolite Sound Engineer
Robert John “B.J.” Schiller (February 6, 1950–June 1, 2004) worked with Showco from 1972 to 1980 as a sound engineer, stage engineer, house mixer, and monitor mixer. His credits included Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Freddie King, and Catfish Hodge. In 1980, B.J. joined Syncrolite, where he continued working until his passing in 2004.
B.J. was also a close friend of my parents, Donny and Rosemary Kretzschmar. Years after my father’s death, B.J. and my mother became life partners and remained together until his passing. His professional legacy and personal connection to our family make his story especially meaningful to preserve.
