The Kinks (1980–1984): Road-Tested Rock, Night After Night

From 1980 to 1984, The Kinks were still pushing forward with a hard-working touring schedule—moving between arenas, theaters, and festival stages while carrying decades of rock history into a new era. These years capture a band balancing legacy and momentum, with the crew and production teams keeping the operation moving city to city, night after night.

This section of the archive collects Showco-related materials connected to The Kinks during the early ’80s—tour ephemera, backstage documents, crew paperwork, photos, passes, and other surviving pieces as they’re located and digitized.

I’m building this archive by hand and will keep adding items as more materials are identified and preserved.
