Ethos shares a special legacy with Showco, as several members and crew—including Michael Ponczek, Wil Sharpe, Craig Schertz, Paul “Biker” Strong, Thom Hansen, and Dale Newman—all went on to work for Showco, earning the nickname “Ft. Wayne boys” in the touring world. Phil Collins himself would often refer to them on stage as “those Ft. Wayne boys,” a nod to their roots and their lasting impact behind the scenes. The Ethos-Showco connection may have even played a role in introducing Genesis to Showco’s legendary crew.
